Wuup was started by Alan Hamlyn & Bill Nunney (aka the Wuup Team). Two eccentric billionaires, With monocles to prove it! Nah we’re not that rich. In fact we can barely afford to rent the bits of cardboard that keep the rain off. That being said it’s damn good cardboard.

After being in business for a year they decided they needed a woman to be part of the team. You know, for cooking and cleaning.  (We’re kidding, please don’t burn our house down)   But yes, a woman was necessary and Tammy Kahn Fennell joined the team, bringing with her MarketMeTweet.com (a company Alan is also Co-Director with Tammy).

Before you ask, we started Wuup because we thought the name was cool and we had the domain. Don’t ask what it stands for. Maybe Worldwide Under-appreciated Utopian Press? Yeah that sounds good.

Pronunciation, one thing that always amuses us is the pronunciation we hear for our name. Truth is its open to interpretation, we tend to call it ‘wooop’ (with an emphasise on the oo’s), but honestly we don’t mind how you say it.
