Wuup was started by Alan Hamlyn & Bill Nunney (aka the Wuup team). Two eccentric billionaires, With monocles to prove it! Nah we’re not rich or even well off. In fact we can barely afford to rent the bits of cardboard that keep the rain off. That being said it’s damn good cardboard.
Before you ask, we started Wuup because we thought the name was cool and we had the domain. Don’t ask what it stands for. Maybe Worldwide Under-appretiated Utopian Press? Yeah that sounds good.
Well we hope you enjoyed learning about the origins of Wuup. Have fun reading!
Presenting the Wuup team…
Alan Hamlyn (Debug):

To the left you will see my ugly mug. I’m the crazy son of a bitch who thought up the idea for Wuup. I nurtured this baby from the concept to the medial giant that sits before you today…maybe. I guess I’ll tell you a little more about myself.
I’m a PHP programmer / web designer overall I guess, although I’d say my design skills are very much a sledge hammer approach to things. I hope you’re enjoying Wuup!
Currently Playing: Company of Heroes, Crysis
Unforuntatley there are very games which I’m interested in at the moment.
Bill Nunney (Bigtallbill):
Secondly we have Bill, co-founder of Wuup and known internationally as Bigtallbill. He’s currently working in the Graphics Design industry, but is looking to get more into Flash applications development and interface design (with a pinch of visual C# if he feels like it). Bill also makes Flash mini games which you can expect to see popping up soon.
At Wuup, Bill mostly writes tutorials on Actionscript and generally assists around the site. Stay tuned for some Photoshop and Blender tutorials along with his usual contributions.
Currently playing: Zombie Panic! Source, Multiwinia, Racedriver GRID (360) and a bit of Audiosurf.
Tom Freeman (Chief):
Next up is Tom Freeman. He’s a student journalist studying at the University of Lincoln. Now entering his third and final year, he’s readying the launch of a new male interest student magazine: Alpha.
When Wuup asked him to join he jumped at the chance to maul and criticise life and applaud satire. Although well into his writing, he also takes the time to mess about with web and graphic design when the chances arise.
Tom writes reviews and critique for Wuup, and sub-edits posts for grammatical and othographic quality and clarity (that’s spelling to you and me).
Currently playing: Bioshock (360), Fable 2: Pub Games (360 Arcade) & Super Smash Bros. Brawl (Wii)
Edwin (Sam):
Wuup was recently joined by some hobo called Edwin. He was found clutching an Xbox 360, spouting tales of ‘The Red Rings’. So, being fans of ‘The Lord of the Rings’ movies we let him stay. He is also rumoured to spontaneously combust on Holy ground.
Elderan (Tom):
Finally we have ‘The Elderan’, or Tom. He is a second year Computer Science student who prides himself on his love for gaming, technology, and loitering in random places. More notably, his takes pleasure in using his knowldge of processor algorithms to cripple the minds of right minded folk. He also loves going to the cinema to watch anything regardless of how bad it is.
Unbelievably, Elderan is the proud owner of an original Xbox 360 premium console which has still yet to red ring…give it time. (Never!)
Currently playing: Hotel Dusk(DS) & Everybodys golf : world tour (PS3)
