Most of my client sites run on Fasthosts servers (not by my choice) and let me just say – their email servers are the most awful things known to man – they make the Tasmanian Devil look stable.

On last week’s Wednesday a Canadian firm successfully sued Microsoft for around £175 million for infringing on a patent and as a result of this Microsoft has been banned from selling Microsoft Word.
The reason for this ban and successful court case is because the latest version of Word uses XML as a file format. This is complete and utter lunacy and I suspect due to a large prejudice...

Recently, I’ve been trying out a method of designing websites that I mentioned in my previous entry, which Andy Clarke wrote about in a post entitled Walls Come Tumbling Down. I thought I’d discuss some of the pros and cons to designing with this method that I’ve found.
