Boost Your Click Rate with More Relevant Ads

If all you can hear is a whistling of wind because no one is clicking on your ads, or if your ads are appearing somewhere near the abyss which is the bottom of the page, or 5 pages down, then there is a pretty good chance your adverts aren’t relevant enough – and if not that, you keyword choices might be a bit far-fetched.

It’s important to make your ads relevant to your customers, or target audience’s searches. To get their attention, the title and text must be relevant to the keywords they have searched, and the product or service you are offering.

Steps to Make Sure Your Ads Are Relevant

  1. Make sure the link between your product or service and the keyword is clear that your websites’ content is relevant to the searched keyword.
  2. Try using the Keyword in the Title of the advert.
  3. Clearly explain limitations of your product, i.e if it is targeted to a town or place, mention this, or if it is only available for over 50′s, then be sure to include these details in your advert – after all it needs to be relevant, and targeted.
  4. Outline unique selling points, offers, services, what makes you stand out?
  5. Make sure the adverts reflect your product, i.e if your selling budget holiday’s don’t describe them as luxury holidays in your advert.
  6. Use a ‘call to action’, by giving a sense of urgency, i.e ‘limted time offer’, ‘buy now’, ‘act fast’.
  7. Check out the competitors, don’t copy them, learn from them and make your advert stand out.
