All said above is very true and still remains but it also depends on the competition on your keywords if there is a lot of competition you may only get 7/10 now this will jump up and down because all that was said by Alan X your PPC rate is also takes part. so the lest competition on a keyword and/ or phase the better shape you will be in. I have bid on keywords and PPC was 8.00 and I manage to get 16 to 20 click at 70 cent each Max. So dont give up if you have a 7/10 you will like jump up and down when the competition is lower

Things which give the site legitimacy, a contact number if possible, registered company numbers, a trading address, as much as you can. Away for users to contact you is the most important.

Interesting, I'll have to give this a try. I'm stuck at 7/10 so far. What goes into the copyright etc statements?

Hi Louis,

Sorry, to clear that up.

All i mean is somewhere on the page, perhaps in the footer, you link to them. Having a link to them, and having the words 'terms and conditions' in the anchor text helps the quality score.

Reason being, is to have those bits on your site, the adwords bot knows your site means business, and is not some sort of spam site.

Hope this helps,

Alan

Thanks and congratulations for your interesting article. What do you mean by "•Ensure you have a privacy policy, copyright statement, terms & conditions." Do you mean our landing page should have a privacy policy to increase the Quality Score?
Thanks,
Louis

Hi there,

I see what your saying and it is a valid concern. Firstly these alternative landing pages I tend not to link to, so they don't get indexed, secondly if you are concerned that they might be, I suggest using robots.txt as a sure way to keep them separate.

Hope this helps,
Alan

Hi,

We are running over 20 different Ad groups spread out through about 4 Campaigns. If we create a new landing page for each of these Ad Groups, will Google penalize our site for duplicate content? Each landing page will be very similar, but will switch out the main keyword phrase in the title tags, h1 tages, etc... The landing pages in question are forms used to generate leads.

Thanks!
