Ok I had to write this post, its not tech related, but it has to be done because I’m SOOOO angry, angry beyond belief trust me…
I have been a Halifax customer for 10 years now, and I have hated them probably for about 10 years really for a variety of reasons, including when my account with defrauded. The police didn’t care and Halifax didn’t care and I was out of pocket because I couldn’t prove that I didn’t steal my own money… so that was a massive issue then. Also when they account got closed, they closed it in a negative balance, and tried to charge me loads of money for being over drawn…. WHICH I did not pay and too MONTHS to sort…
So finally, I made the switch to get away from Halifax to HSBC, which overall had seemed like a better bank, I had a few recommendations etc from people. So I made the switch a few weeks ago, and 1st of october was the day everything was going across.
Now I went down to HSBC, start doing some moving of cash etc between my HSBC accounts…
My account is £0.0…
So I get the staff to investigate. It turns out… Halifax have a choice to make a digital transfer OR send my funds by cheque…
GUESS WHICH ONE THEY CHOSE.
CHEQUE….
So now they have to handle the cheque, taking at least 3 days, they have to post it… and with a postal strike etc, and backlog of post, could at least 1 week, and then the cheque has to clear.
MEANING
I am without any money, for at least 1 week, if everything goes smoothly, which it wont, postal strike etc, I will no doubt be pennyless for closer to 2 weeks.
All my direct debits are going to bounce… I have no money for food, fuel etc…..
Obviously I’m going to have to figure something out…
In my pocket right now is practically all my funds – I have £2.80…
My old account is shut down before you ask, the card machine swallowed my card…
Its the LAST thing Halifax could do to F**K ME OFF!
