Memory… what?

so i go to plug in my old 8gb flash drive and… nothing. Not even a year ago i parted with £80 of my hard earnt cash, only to have it cop out seemingly randomly. However when i go on the net looking for a new flash drive i find my £80 can get me a 32gb, so with that logic in 9 months time i can get a 64gb!! when should i buy one?

Then i had a thought.

Why the hell do i need to carry 32gb worth of storage around with me? that could be lost through the smallest of holes?
