As a whole, I’m adjusting the future, like an inmate out of prison getting a job in a super market bagging up groceries, then not couping with it and hanging myself in my room (sorry for the shoreshank redemption reference). But anyway, yeah I like vista, it’s not perfect, by any means. But there are some things which really bug me.

Tablet On Screen Keyboard when I login

Becuase I use a graphics tablet and pen, Windows vista helpfully puts an on screen keyboard in which I could fill in my password when I login. WRONG. Not only can I not find out how to disable this, it doesnt work. When I move the mouse to the keyboard, it moves it under it, meaning I can’t see where the cursor is, and ulitmatley can’t click them. Making the whole thing useless and annoying. Why does it do that? Because they are lazy and obviously haven’t tested it, and also have yet to patch it!

    Vista’s SuperCaching Thing

Ok I have 4 gb of ram, and a half decent intel, but thank’s to this super caching, where it stores my most used programs and files, it means that 48%-50% RAM was being used at all times. It’s ridiculous and pointless, I’d rather have slightly longer program loading time, than sacrifice performance (which I never even noticed that it was longer either). I’ve actually turned this feature off, but because vista doesn’t make it easy, it was a registry hack.

Tablet and Pen, Constantly want’s me to use handwritting tool

Whenever I use msn, or anything with text input, I hover the mouse onto the pad, up pops this massive thing to tell me I can do handwritting, and it’s in the way. It’s really very annoying.

There are a few other things, slipped my mind for now, but I’ll leave it at that, they are the most annoying things.
