I look at various sources everyday, and that means I can bring you lazy sods some relevant information, so here goes:
1. AMD Bites the Dust
I’m a hardcore die hard, AMD fan, but unfortunatley those days of top processors are coming to an end, although today, recent investment in AMD has given birth to the Foundry Company, which is a spin off of AMD. This investment sent the AMD stock soaring, which was good news considering the stock market hasn’t exactly been the ‘happening’ place lately. This new deal with AMD and Advanced Technology Company (ATIC) will result in 1200 new jobs.
In the processor race, AMD has lost out big time recently, with EVIL giants intel taking the lead, o well, I’ll have to give up my denial and switch to Intel…
2. Google Aid’s Drunk Email Users
I’m talking about a new Gmail feature which could help prevent the drunk people from sending embarrassing emails to people, especially ones they may regret after their hangovers. Once it’s activated on your Gmail, it will ask you a series of maths questions with a time limit. Which may stop those who are heavily intoxicated – Instead of google doing something worthwhile with its time, they have been making this. Gah!
3. Google Earth Goes Under the Sea
Google earth now wants to collect personal information on every fish in the sea, just kidding, but the idea is to let users see underwater landscapes with ‘virtual dives’, I’m sure google will then see what you are looking at under the see and probably try and sell you fish – anyway, interesting stuff, but seems like a big waste of time to me.
4. New DSi from Nintendo
Just because they’ve got you hooked on these bloody things, they’ve gone out and added a handful of enticing little features to them. It’s now got a camera, larger screen, music mp3 player, and crap you can buy from their online shop. Yay…
Negatives though are some games are not backwards compatible, the battery life will be sapped by these new features, and the price will be hiked back up…again. Gah!
It’s no ipod, but then again, the ipod is no DS.
