windows 7, so what do you think of it?

Improved speed? sleek clean design? new taskbar? what do you like most about windows 7?

    :P well, bill has been using windows 7, he said that it at least had the same performance of vista, which has got the MS community buzzing because no beta release of a previous window has been faster than it’s predecessor. I’m just getting on with vista now, thanks to the feature of voice recognition!

    Yeah i’m starting to just now get on with vista on my new lappy. I do really like the new taskbar, i think its a really efficient use of space. Design wise it looks the same as vista, but hey vista looks great anyway. I find memory management to be better in W7. Although it is the beta and has no crapware pre-installed.

    We were going to download & install the Windows 7 beta on an old 1.6 machine we have here, till I read this on the Microsoft site:

    * Processor: 1 GHz 32-bit or 64-bit processor
    * Memory: 1 GB of system memory
    * Hard drive: 16 GB of available disk space
    * Video card: Support for DirectX 9 graphics with 128MB memory (in order to enable Aero theme)
    * Drive: DVD-R/W drive
    * Internet connection (to download the Beta and get updates)

    but the machine only has a 6 Gb drive so I don’t think it’ll work.
