I only draw from my own experience gaming on vista 64 so maybe i was a rare case. Especially when you are used to gaming at 100+ FPS. 3 x GTX 280 OC TRI-SLI on one system, and 2 x 4870X2 Crossfire on my other. By the way, I have Vista 64Bit SP1 and XP SP3 in a dual-boot setup on both systems, and have absolutely no problems with gaming under Vista 64. Visually, DX10 is noticably better. Disable quadcore & dx10 for home basic, do nothing to the rest. They seem to have gone mad with all the different versions tho. Can't say I will return to xp just so gaming runs at a slightly higher fps. DX10 isn't worth sticking round for at the moment. Still I prefer linux anyway xD it works like my mind does.
